History of the Central Vacuum Systems of Steinemann AG

Ab 1965
The Sulzer company offers the first vacuum systems for manual cleaning.

Ab 1981
Steinemann AG manufactures vacuum pumps, filters and other components on behalf of Sulzer.

1983
Revision and combination of vacuum pump and filter into one unit.

1986
Launch of the AS control for vacuum units (automatic stop). Automatic switch-off when not in use.

1987
Market launch of the ESS control system for vacuum units (energy saving system). Control of the motor or fan speed as required.

1989
Steinemann AG buys the product and all rights to marketing it. As a result, the planning department moves to Flawil.

1991
Development of components for the automatic disposal of production machines. The first system was put into operation in the same year. Since then, the possible applications have been continuously expanded.

1998
Development of automatic waste disposal for the catering sector. In the following years, systems of various sizes were installed at various locations for Gate Gourmet.

2000
Revision of the vacuum unit.

2002
Revision of the ESS control and introduction of frequency converters. Introduction of a new filter system.

2008
Administration and production are transferred to the sister company Calorifer AG.

2016
A new company, ConVacc AG, was founded for CVS. The brand name Steinemann Zentrale Vakuum Systems remains.

2021
As a member of the Steinemanngroup, Steinemann Central Vacuum Systems has implemented the new company logo design.
